Based in the town of Edmonds, WA, Timothy Wicks Guitars is surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.  It is this beauty, combined with a bit of the rugged individualism of the Northwest, that inspires us to craft our instruments. 

 

Our instruments are a collaborative partnership between Timothy Wicks and Craig Wickstrom.  We care about creativity and we believe that a good instrument inspires a musician to play more and be more creative.  We care that musicians need their instruments to perform day in and day out, gig after gig.  We also understand that being a musician, especially a mid-level or working musician, doesn’t afford an enormous budget to work with.

With these things in mind, we want to create instruments that make a musician feel alive.  We want our guitars to feel like an extension of who you are.  We want your fingers to fly over the frets and for your hands to slide with ease up and down the neck.  We want our instruments to stay in tune for not just a few songs, but a whole set.  We want it to feel at home as it hangs comfortably over your shoulder.

You have to love looking at your guitar.  When it’s sitting on it’s stand, it should call to you from across the room, inviting you to join it in song.  The lines of the body and headstock should flow smoothly and the grains of the woods should draw you into their patterns, as if they carried the very texture of the Cascade mountains or Olympic forests in their soul.
